With LOH@100, the intention is to make this cultural cornerstone a truly world-class destination, deepen our support of the Upper Valley’s thriving arts ecosystem, and to be more responsive to the changing needs of our broader community.

The ambitious LOH@100 campaign will:

Revitalize

Celebrate the centennial of the historic City Hall building we call home with a major facelift:

  • Improve exterior lighting, signage, and wayfinding
  • Transform main lobby into an inviting gathering space, add concessions sales
  • Expand upper lobby, add mobile bar service and room for pre-show socializing
  • Replace 22-year-old seats, add cup holders and more balcony legroom
  • Convert outdated stage lighting to an energy-efficient LED system
  • Refresh dressing rooms and backstage support spaces

Invigorate

Establish an operating runway that ensures success during an exciting period of evolution

The creation of an operational reserve is critical to our success. It will help build a foundation to incubate emerging artists, provide opportunities for diverse voices, and underwrite barrier-free programming. And it will position LOH to charge forward into the next century starting with a programming “risk fund” for 2024’s big, bold centennial celebration.

Trailblaze

Expand the possibilities of our wildly successful LOH on Location programming model

Through our LOH on Location programs (Nexus, Hootenanny, Pride Celebration, Silent Discos) we’ve found success in engaging new audiences in unique spaces. We will now build-out a proper “mobile unit” featuring a portable stage, lighting, and sound equipment and develop more barrier-free programming opportunities.

A growing number of barrier-free

programs each year

The expansion of the LOH on Location program means we can further our mission to incubate emerging performing artists, support additional regional arts organizations and local independent artists, and provide a platform for underrepresented voices.

The program will also allow us to partner with those who might otherwise not be able to engage with our work: from senior citizens to school-aged children.
